September 3, 2019 - We're Back On The Road Filling In Our Map

Heading West From Home

Since our last post in April 2017 when our 2 1/2 year Freedom Folly was complete with us moving into our beautiful condo in Westerly, a LOT of traveling has been done but none to the 6 states remaining to be camped in.......until now.  If I ever get a spare moment I will do a blog page listing all those travels which have kept us away from home almost 6 months of the year.

As part of our birthday celebrations this Fall (John turning 70 and Debra turning 65) we figure it is better to get theses states added to our map while we are still young and able to enjoy long RV trips. So the travel for Fall 2019 will add Nebraska and Utah stickers to our RV map and then next summer we will go to Alaska.  That leaves Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennessee left.  We haven't hit these three yet because every time we have come east from the west coast it has been tornado season and they are tornado alley.

Now on to the trip.

We stopped in Elkhart, Indiana to tour the RV Museum on our way to Illinois.   It was way cool to see how campers started back in the late 1800's up to now.
